EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Dense
medium-nap paint roller or a squeegee.
BEFORE APPLYING
- Complete the floor preparations and PART ONE application.
- Ensure that calcium chloride test readings are 5 pounds
or less.
- Flooring installation contractor must be satisfied up to
this point before proceeding with PART TWO installation.
HOW
TO APPLY
Apply PART TWO evenly at the rate of 350 to 400 square feet
per gallon beginning with areas underneath appliances, as well as areas along the walls
and entryways, then to remainder of floor.
Use overlapping patterns of north and south, east and west
strokes.
Allow adequate time to harden before use: 24 hours before
walking on and 48 hours for total cure time. When PART TWO is hardened, it is no longer
tacky to the touch.
Perform a calcium chloride test after curing to verify that
moisture content is at acceptable level.
When desired moisture content is achieved and PART TWO is
sufficiently dried and found satisfactory to the flooring installation contractor and
meets flooring manufacturers specifications, the flooring may now be installed per
the manufacturers instructions.
PRECAUTIONS
- Protect areas not intended for coverage as product is very
difficult to remove later. PART TWO will damage or kill vegetation and may stain or etch
glass or plastic. If contact occurs, wash immediately with water.
- Do not apply when ambient temperature drops below 55°F.
- PART TWO will adhere to the first surface it meets,
including dirt. If product adheres to dirt, it will peel up. If this occurs, peel away
product, clean surface, and reapply.
- PART TWO must be applied in a thin layer; otherwise the
strength of the bond will be compromised.
- PART TWO has a minor, almost insignificant trace of VOC.
Incidental skin contact is not hazardous, but ingestion or eye contact should be avoided.
We recommend use of a painters mask during application. Refer to MSDS.
