Traditional sealers have not been able to solve this problem, called moisture vapor transmission. This is because the sealer is applied topically and although it temporarily brings the moisture levels down, as measured by calcium chloride tests, it does nothing to prevent water from traveling freely below the surface of the concrete slab. The sealer eventually fails, due to the buildup of hydrostatic pressure or being dissolved by the slabs moisture, which causes the adhesive to fail or, worse yet, the floor to warp. This makes for unhappy customers and expensive callbacks, or even the headache of seemingly endless litigation. The once-professional floor installation is now a mess and a professional embarrassment. We at PROTECRETE are happy to tell you that there is a permanent and cost-effective solution to this problem. It acts as an insurance policy for all of your flooring installations and can be used for nearly every project. The solution is the PROTECRETE Floor Saver System®. This two-part system is easy to apply and fully guaranteed to solve concretes moisture problem. (See warranty section for details.)
